Marinate bite-sized chicken pieces in a mild teriyaki sauce (soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger) for 15–30 minutes. Sear or bake until cooked through. Cook rice separately and steam some broccoli or carrots.
Serve chicken over rice with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds.
For less sodium, use low-sodium soy sauce and reduce added sugar. Swap chicken for tofu for a vegetarian version that kids still enjoy.
